Groups, Clubs and Trips Catch-Up

We’re already a third of the way through 2025, and our social events are in full swing! Whatever your social style, there’s something for everyone on the calendar this year (though we’re still giving axe throwing a miss!).

Our social clubs are more popular than ever. We’ve had a variety of entertainers visiting with some fantastic musical performances, and our guest speakers have shared passionate and fascinating insights—like RNLI’s Alexander Grey, who gave a memorable talk.

Due to high demand, Andrea has now split the Walking and Activities groups—which is fantastic news! Everyone still gets to enjoy the same walks and activities, just on different days. Andrea’s Fitbit is definitely working overtime with all the extra steps!

We’ve been lucky with the weather too, enjoying some peaceful and scenic walks. Ten Pin Bowling remains a firm favourite, and the next big outing will be a trip to Huntingdon Races in May.

The Arts and Crafts group has been busy as well. Susan from the Norris Museum in St Ives visited recently, bringing along some fascinating artifacts. Members had to guess the items’ historical uses, then got stuck in making their own pinch or coil pots out of clay to take home.

Our newest addition, Chair Yoga, is now up and running—and proving very popular! So much so, we’ll be starting an additional class in St Neots this June. Read more here.

We kicked off the year’s day trips with a visit to Springfield Garden Centre and Shopping Outlet. A full coachload of members enjoyed a beautiful day of bargain hunting, delicious food, and exploring the lovely gardens. It was a brilliant day out, and plans for the next trip are already underway… though for now, it’s top secret!

If there’s anything you’ve read about here that sounds fun, or you’d like to get involved in a new group, just catch me at your social club or give the office a ring on 01480 453438 (Option 2). I’d love to have a chat and help you get started.

All the very best to each and every one of you. I look forward to seeing you at the next Hunts Blind Club you visit!

Kindest regards,
Andrea
