Leave a Legacy

Leave a Legacy

Your generosity today can shape a brighter tomorrow ensuring that help and support remain in the community you care about. Every contribution, whether a one-time gift or a legacy in your will, makes an extraordinary difference right where it’s needed most.

Every donation we receive stays within the local area, helping to fund crucial programs and provide support to those who need it most.

Including the Society in your will is a meaningful way to leave a legacy of compassion and care, ensuring your generosity continues to support the local community you cherish.

Unlike leaving to larger organisations, a gift to us directly impacts individuals and families in your local area.

We would always recommend that a will is drawn up by a solicitor to ensure that your legacy is distributed amongst the people and organisations you care about in accordance with your wishes.

Most gifts left to charities in wills are exempt from Inheritance Tax. You can also reduce your Inheritance Tax rate, if 10% or more of your estate is left to charity.

If you have an existing Will, you can update this to include a charitable gift either by preparing a new Will or a Codicil.

By planning ahead, you can ensure your values and kindness live on, helping neighbours and loved ones for generations to come.

Thank you for considering leaving a gift in your will to Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind. Your gift will help support our valuable work in supporting the needs of many visually impaired people..

If you’d like to learn more about leaving a legacy to the Society, we’re here to help. Contact us for a confidential conversation about how your gift can make an enduring impact locally. Our team can provide guidance and answer any questions you may have, so please do get in touch.
