You can now explore the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon with a new, free digital guide, thanks to the Bloomberg Connects app – the arts and culture app that brings museums and galleries to life on your smartphone or tablet.
On the app you will find a brand new audio guide, along with lots of information on Oliver Cromwell’s life and times, plus background on the museum’s outstanding collection and an introduction to the history of the British Civil Wars.
The Museum team will be updating the guide with more content and audio clips as time goes on. The guide is available in 50 languages and has extra audio descriptions for visually impaired visitors.
Wherever you are
Whether you are based in the UK or abroad, the guide is available to you for free. If you’re planning a visit, you can find out in advance about the museum’s collection and displays. If you’re staying at home, you can still visit virtually with the audio guide.

When you visit the Cromwell Museum, please bring your smartphone or tablet and a pair of headphones. The guide offers extra insights to the artifacts on display, enriching your experience as you move through the Museum. The QR code, which will take you directly to the guide, is on display inside. If you need anything, please ask a volunteer or member of staff – they are very happy to help.
